Levy Park is Metro Tallahassee’s northernmost neighborhood. As of the 2006 census, the population was 11,812, an increase of 4,511, or 38 percent, since 2000. Levy Park is bordered by East Tennessee Street on the east, Bruce Road on the south, Monroe Street on the west, and Capital Circle NE on the north.

Levy Park is one of Tallahassee”’s oldest neighborhoods, established in 1883 by a group of French Canadian and Cuban immigrants. The original brewing plant was located in what is now Midtown Tallahassee, but the area was mostly swamp land at the time. The neighborhood was home to 5,000 people by the 1920s. Today, Levy Park is home to more than 20,000 residents. The neighborhood is a mix of residents, with a high percentage of families, but is also the home of many retirees.
