The first recorded use of the name “Woodland Drive” in Tallahassee, Florida was in a deed dated January 1, 1824. The original Woodland Drive was a two-mile long private road that ran from the north side of town to the south side. In 1835, the Tallahassee city government extended Woodland Drive to four miles in length and made it a public road.
